Sen. Wants Probe Of Big Pharma Influence On Painkiller Regs

Law360, New York (October 10, 2013, 6:20 PM EDT) -- U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., on Wednesday demanded a probe into federal drug regulators’ relationship with pharmaceutical companies that produce hydrocodone painkillers, amid reports about pay-to-play arrangements in which the companies paid thousands of dollars for opportunities to influence regulatory decisions.
