NY Eastern District Calls Workers Essential During Shutdown

Law360, New York (October 11, 2013, 12:48 PM EDT) -- The chief judge of the Eastern District of New York, which includes Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens and Long Island, told employees Thursday night to keep coming to work after Oct. 17, the date through which federal courts believe they can fund normal operations despite the government shutdown.
