EU Regulators To Probe Ryanair's Spanish Airport Deals

Law360, Washington (October 16, 2013, 1:50 PM EDT) -- The European Commission launched a probe Wednesday into Ryanair Holding PLC's marketing agreements with two Spanish airports, saying the deals may violate European Union state aid rules.

According to the commission, Ryanair's marketing agreements with the Girona-Costa Brava and Reus airports in Spain contain conditions related to the airline's presence and scale of operations in the two airports that have raised EU concern.
