Feds To File Criminal Charges Against Ex-Qwest CEO

Law360, New York (December 19, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Former Qwest chief executive Joseph Nacchio is facing a criminal indictment over allegations of insider trading, according to a published report.

A federal grand jury is meeting in Colorado to discuss a possible criminal indictment to be handed down next week, according to a news report in The Denver Post.

The charges would be based on allegations of insider trading and securities fraud between that surfaced due to a federal investigation into the telecommunication company’s finances between 1999 and 2002.
