Law360, New York (October 16, 2013, 7:10 PM EDT) -- An Idaho federal judge on Tuesday refused to block an economist hired by St. Luke's Health System Ltd. from testifying about the benefits of the hospital's acquisition of the region's largest independent physician practice, despite the Federal Trade Commission's claims that the expert was unqualified.
U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill denied a request from the FTC, the Idaho Attorney General's Office and several rival hospitals challenging the deal to exclude testimony from Dr. Alain Enthoven.
