EU Committee Drafts Stricter Product Safety Rules

Law360, New York (October 17, 2013, 5:36 PM EDT) -- The European Parliament's Internal Market Committee released draft overhauls of their product safety and market surveillance protocols, to make compliance with safety rules more efficient across the Euro zone, the committee announced Thursday.

Under the proposed rules, consumers would be given more information about where goods were produced and how they were tested.
