EU Promises News Soon On Libor Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (October 17, 2013, 7:10 PM EDT) -- The European Union's antitrust chief said Thursday that the bloc's probe into allegations that several major banks manipulated interbank offered rates were almost ready to yield results.

The European Commission has been investigating possible collusion among the banks that set the London Interbank Offered Rate, as well as the similar Euribor and Tibor rates for Europe and Tokyo, since late 2011 and the probe now involves three separate currencies.
