EU Pols Push Labor, Enviro Protections In US Trade Pact

Law360, New York (October 17, 2013, 4:03 PM EDT) -- Members of the European Parliament warned Wednesday that a proposed free trade agreement between the European Union and the U.S. should not undercut labor, environment, privacy and other protections.

The Socialists & Democrats group — an alliance that includes 195 members of the EU parliament — said in a statement that the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership under negotiation between the EU and U.S. could be a boon for both economies.
