Atty For NYC Agency Launches Retaliation Suit

Law360, New York (October 21, 2013, 6:32 PM EDT) -- A former principal New York City administrative law judge slapped the city's Department of Consumer Affairs with a lawsuit Thursday claiming top officials at the agency tasked with fining businesses for legal violations retaliated against her after a sexual harassment incident.

Susan Kassapian, the DCA's longest-tenured civil service attorney, has served in many roles there including as principal ALJ from May 2009 to Aug. 23, and currently works as senior counsel, according to the suit filed in New York Supreme Court in Kings County..
