Honeywell, Citizen In LCD Patent Row

Law360 (December 20, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Electronics maker Honeywell International has filed another suit in its quest to protect its intellectual property covering LCD technology, this time targeting Citizen Watch Co.

Honeywell alleges that some Citizen products incorporate LCD screens that are covered by a Honeywell patent for technology that enables a screen to produce a brighter image.

The suit claims that Citizen knowingly used this technology in products including computers, cell phones, digital cameras, video cameras, portable DVD players, and portable televisions.
