Insulation Co. Sues 15 Insurers For Asbestos Coverage

Law360, New York (October 22, 2013, 7:07 PM EDT) -- Contract insulation installer Eagle Inc. sued 15 insurance carriers in Louisiana federal court Tuesday in an effort to lock down the broadest possible coverage for waves of underlying asbestos injury suits.

Eagle says it has been hammered since the 1980s by litigation alleging various asbestos-containing products it distributed, installed or sold caused illness and death, and that a group of insurers led by OneBeacon America Insurance Co. are disputing the defense and indemnity coverage their policies afford.
