Telemarketer That Falsely Claimed Vet Status Banned In Iowa

Law360, New York (October 23, 2013, 2:12 PM EDT) -- An Iowa judge on Tuesday ordered a Phoenix-based telemarketing company that allegedly falsely claimed its sales helped veterans and disabled workers to permanently cease telephone sales in the state. 

Polk County Judge Douglas F. Staskal issued the order against Advanced Employment Solutions LLC and its owner, Ann Marie Scott, and general manager, Mila D. Sprague. The company’s telemarketers sold household products, according to the state’s complaint.
