Australian Union Warns Against Trade Agreement With China

Law360, New York (October 24, 2013, 5:25 PM EDT) -- The Australian Manufacturing Workers Union on Thursday criticized Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott's push to establish a free trade agreement with China, saying free trade with China would harm Australian manufacturers.

Abbott has recently pushed to sign the Trans-Pacific Partnership and establish free trade with China, saying that Chinese investment would uplift the Australian economy, create jobs and increase government revenue.
