Germany Still No. 1 In Global Trademark Filings

Law360 (February 27, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Four years after joining a global system for recognizing trademarks, the United States ranks third among countries with the most international trademark applications, trailing Germany and France, according to a report from the United Nations trademark agency.

This is the 15th year in a row that Germany has led the pack in the number of filings, followed by France, the United States and the European Community, the Geneva-based World Intellectual Property Organization reported.
