Senate Dems Call For Extension Of ACA Enrollment Deadline

Law360, New York (October 25, 2013, 6:35 PM EDT) -- Ten Democratic senators on Friday urged the Obama administration to push back the enrollment deadline for the Affordable Care Act, saying consumers shouldn’t be penalized for lack of coverage due to technical problems with the ACA’s federally administered website.

Led by New Hampshire Democrat Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, the senators said as long as the substantial problems with the website persist, valuable time is being lost in which to educate and enroll people in insurance plans.
