Florida A&M Student Gets 2 Years For ID, Financial Aid Theft

Law360, New York (October 25, 2013, 7:57 PM EDT) -- A former student of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University was sentenced to two years in prison Thursday over his alleged scheme to steal fellow students' financial aid through identity theft and other tactics, according to federal prosecutors.

Fort Lauderdale man Christopher Wright, 23, allegedly operated with two other conspirators who were also students at the university to gain access to other students' financial aid accounts and siphon off their funds, prosecutors said in a statement Thursday.
