Canada Clears Darling's $620M Biodiesel Co. Buy

Law360, New York (October 25, 2013, 6:01 PM EDT) -- Canadian antitrust regulators on Friday approved Darling International Inc.'s purchase of rendering and biodiesel production business Rothsay from Maple Leaf Foods Inc. for CA$645 million ($620 million).

The Canadian Competition Bureau said that the sale is unlikely to cause unfair competition.
