Judge Extends Restraining Order on Generic Wellbutrin

Law360, New York (December 1, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- Eon Labs said a temporary restraining order preventing it from selling its generic version of the GlaxoSmithKline antidepressant drug Wellbutrin has been extended to Dec. 9.

Last week, a U.S. judge entered an order which prevented Eon from offering for sale or selling 100 mg tablets of its generic Wellbutrin (bupropion HC1) until noon on Monday, Dec. 1.

Eon has received U.S. regulatory approval to market its drug and planned to begin shipping it immediately. The move marks the second setback for GlaxoSmithKline’s antidepressant business in...
