GDF Suez-Led Group Wins $729M Fusion Reactor Contract

Law360, New York (October 29, 2013, 12:42 PM EDT) -- A GDF Suez SA-led consortium of French and German companies won a €530 million ($729 million) contract to design, build and maintain part of the complex for an experimental fusion reactor in France, GDF Suez announced Tuesday. 

GDF Suez's Cofely units along with Germany's M&W Group GmbH will build a significant part of the Tokamak complex for the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor project over the next six years on 42 hectares (104 acres) of land in Bouches-du-Rhone.
