CBS Sued By Pa. DEP Over Steel Mill PCB Cleanup Costs

Law360, New York (October 29, 2013, 5:38 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection filed suit in federal court on Tuesday against CBS Corp., TDY Industries and The Timken Co. to recover costs incurred from cleaning up hazardous substances at the site of a former iron and steel company in western Pennsylvania.

According to the complaint, the DEP discovered the presence of PCBs at the site when it conducted an investigation and says the three companies are liable under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act for the $2.3 million in response costs....
