FTC Says Marketer Exaggerated Weight Loss Claims

Law360, New York (October 30, 2013, 6:38 PM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission launched a suit in Arizona federal court Wednesday accusing a marketer of dietary supplements of falsely claiming that the products will help consumers lose substantial amounts of weight quickly.

The commission’s complaint for permanent injunction and other equitable relief targets the advertising and marketing of diet products manufactured by HCG Platinum LLC and Right Way Nutrition LLC, which are managed by fellow defendant Kevin Wright.
