EU Fastener Duties Still Violate WTO Rules, China Says

Law360, New York (October 30, 2013, 6:50 PM EDT) -- The Chinese government said Wednesday that the European Union has not complied with a World Trade Organization panel's ruling that faulted the 28-nation bloc for its anti-dumping duties on Chinese iron and steel fasteners and requested consultations with EU to address the discrepancy.

If the two parties cannot resolve the issue bilaterally, China is likely to request the establishment of a WTO panel to determine whether the EU has brought its duties on the Chinese fasteners into compliance.
