Senate GOP Blocks Akin Gump Atty's DC Circ. Nomination

Law360, Los Angeles (October 31, 2013, 4:20 PM EDT) -- U.S. Senate Republicans on Thursday blocked the confirmation of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP partner Patricia Millett for the D.C. Circuit, as well as a Federal Housing Finance Agency nominee, spurring some Democrats to suggest the chamber's filibuster rules should be changed.
