Helmerich Unit Agrees To Pay $6M To End Rig-Testing Probe

Law360, Los Angeles (October 31, 2013, 6:27 PM EDT) -- A Helmerich & Payne Inc. subsidiary has agreed to pay $6.4 million to resolve an investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice into choke manifold testing irregularities that occurred in 2010 at an offshore platform rig in the Gulf of Mexico, according to a regulatory filing released Wednesday.
