Bergmann’s Exit Leaves Another Gap Atop SEC

Law360, New York (January 2, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- The personnel shifts that plagued the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission last year have continued into 2006, with a top official in the market-regulation division leaving the agency later this month to join the law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher.

Larry Bergmann’s career with the Commission began in 1975, when he joined the agency as a staff attorney. Three years later, he transferred to the Division of Enforcement, where he stayed until he was named Assistant Director for Trading Practices in the Division of Market Regulation....
