US, EU Say Progress Made In 2nd Round Of Trade Talks

Law360, Washington (November 15, 2013, 6:35 PM EST) -- The U.S. and European Union on Friday finished a second round of negotiations in Brussels for a proposed free trade pact, and although no agreement has been reached, officials say they are making progress.

The European Commission said in a statement Friday that negotiators discussed investment rules, energy, raw materials and regulatory issues in the week-long talks about the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, which is designed to reduce nontariff trade barriers between the U.S. and the 28-nation bloc.
