Vattenfall Invests $289M To Expand UK Offshore Wind Farm

Law360, New York (November 4, 2013, 5:43 PM EST) -- Swedish energy company Vattenfall AB said Monday that it would sink £150 million ($289 million) into expanding a wind farm off England's coast, which would provide another 49.5 megawatts of electricity, enough to power 42,000 U.K. households per year.

The Kentish Flats Extension project will consist of an additional 15 wind turbines planted five miles off England's southeastern coast, beefing up Vattenfall's existing 30-turbine, 90-megawatt Kentish Flats wind farm.
