White House Seeks Input On Revised Social Cost Of Carbon

Law360, New York (November 4, 2013, 5:11 PM EST) -- The Obama administration announced Friday that it would have the public weigh in on recently revised estimates of the social cost of carbon, this after coming under fire for using the controversial metric in several regulations, including its recently released rule capping greenhouse gas emissions from new power plants.

The White House Office of Management and Budget slightly lowered its estimate of the projected social cost of carbon in 2015, from the $38 per metric ton measure it released in May to $37 per metric ton....
