Green Gas Buys Landfill Fuel Plant From Lime Energy

Law360, New York (November 5, 2013, 5:26 PM EST) -- Alternative energy company Green Gas Americas Inc. on Monday agreed to buy a 2.8-megawatt landfill-to-gas project in Florida's Charlotte County for an undisclosed amount, the company said Tuesday.

The project collects methane and other decomposition gases generated by the landfill and converts them into fuel, which is then used to produce power. Orlando Utilities Commission buys electricity from the landfill through a long-term power purchase agreement.
