Market For Global Utility Deals Hits 2-Year High: Report

Law360, New York (November 6, 2013, 5:50 PM EST) -- The deal volume in the global power and utilities market has hit a two-year high in the wake of growing confidence in the world economy, Ernst & Young LLP said in a Friday report.

While deal value fell slightly, from $33 billion to $31.7 billion, in the third quarter of 2013, it is still a 67 percent increase compared with the same period last year, with nine transactions exceeding $1 billion, according to Ernst & Young.
