Green Groups Target EPA Over Idaho, Wash. Water Regs

Law360, New York (November 6, 2013, 7:14 PM EST) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency faces litigation threats from a pair of environmental groups for its alleged failure to render an up-or-down decision on revisions to water quality standards in Idaho and Washington, according to documents released by the agency Wednesday.

Northwest Environmental Advocates, or NWEA, said in an intent-to-sue notice that the agency has not taken action within 60 days on the Washington State Department of Ecology's February revisions to its sediment management standards, which have long been treated as water quality standards requiring EPA...
