ADM Ends Internal FCPA Probe As Settlement Talks Continue

Law360, New York (November 6, 2013, 5:45 PM EST) -- Archer Daniels Midland Co. has completed an internal investigation into Foreign Corrupt Practices Act allegations and is engaged in settlement talks with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice, the company said Friday.

Decatur, Ill.-based ADM, one of the largest corn processors in the world, disclosed the end of the investigation in an SEC filing. The company reiterated an earlier statement that it had set aside $54 million to cover potential fines and disgorgement orders in the case.
