Reorganized Rotech Objects To $1M Baker & McKenzie Fees

Law360, New York (November 13, 2013, 3:48 PM EST) -- The reorganized Rotech Healthcare Inc. in Delaware bankruptcy court Tuesday filed an objection to Baker & McKenzie LLP's request for more than $1 million in fees, saying the firm hadn't provided the estate with any value during the bankruptcy proceedings.

The medical equipment supplier said in its objection that Baker & McKenzie, which acted for several months as counsel to the company’s equity committee, wasted time and money drawing the bankruptcy proceedings into unnecessary litigation and should therefore not be reimbursed for any of its fees. ...
