NRRA Hasn't Blocked Access To Reinsurance Info, FIO Finds

Law360, New York (November 13, 2013, 7:08 PM EST) -- The Federal Insurance Office delivered one of its overdue reports last week, concluding that a section of the Dodd-Frank Act that addressed reinsurance regulation hasn't hindered state regulators' efforts to collect financial information on reinsurers.

The Dodd-Frank Act requires FIO to study the impact of a section of the Dodd-Frank Act called the Nonadmitted and Reinsurance Reform Act and issue a report by January 2013. FIO released its three-page report Nov. 6.
