Getting The Green Light From FTC For Green Claims

Law360, New York (November 14, 2013, 6:29 PM EST) -- On Oct. 29, 2013, the Federal Trade Commission announced that it had brought enforcement actions against six companies for making misleading claims about plastic products to make them appear more environmentally friendly to consumers. In each case, the FTC alleged that the companies falsely asserted that additives in the plastic products made them biodegradable.
