Scrushy Ordered To Repay $48M In Bonuses

Law360, New York (January 4, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Former HealthSouth chief executive Richard Scrushy continues to feel the effects of the massive fraud scandal that broke at the company in 2002 after a judge ruled he must pay back nearly $48 million in bonuses he received while serving as CEO.

Alabama state court Judge Allwin E. Horn III ruled that Scrushy should not have collected the bonuses he received between 1997 and 2002 because the company was not meeting financial targets.
