Patton Boggs Cuts More Attys In Move To Regain Profits

Law360, New York (November 14, 2013, 9:04 PM EST) -- Washington, D.C.-based Patton Boggs LLP has again cut loose lawyers and staff as it looks to boost profit levels by reducing headcount and making other belt-tightening measures, the firm's managing partner said Thursday.

A total of 10 associates and 35 staffers were informed this week of their layoffs, Edward Newberry told Law360.  

Current and previous payroll cuts, expense controls, partner departures, and more transactional and litigation work have all helped pull the firm since mid-year "back to historic profit levels,” Newberry said, this as it continues to consider...
