Ways And Means Head Pushes For TPP Currency Provisions

Law360, New York (November 14, 2013, 5:19 PM EST) -- The chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee on Wednesday called for action from the Obama administration to address possible currency manipulation through trade agreements such as the proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership.

In a statement, Rep. Dave Camp, R-Mich., the Ways and Means chairman, said the Obama administration has taken steps, through international organizations such as the International Monetary Fund and World Trade Organization, to address currency issues in other countries, but added that “more must be done.”
