Synopsys Targets Mentor Patents In Inter Partes Review

Law360, Washington (November 14, 2013, 9:21 PM EST) -- Software company Synopsys Inc. pushed the Patent Trial and Appeals Board on Thursday to invalidate claims in a Mentor Graphics Corp. patent relating to simulation and prototyping of integrated circuits, saying they are anticipated by prior art.

The patent dispute comes after years of legal wrangling between Mentor Graphics and EVE-USA Inc., which is now owned by Synopsys.
