FERC Allows Pipeline, Transmission Cos. To Share Info

Law360, New York (November 18, 2013, 2:45 PM EST) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Friday finalized a rule allowing interstate natural gas pipelines and electric transmission operators to share nonpublic operational information in order to ensure reliability and integrity of their systems as they increasingly become intertwined.

The rule, FERC Order No. 787, authorizes interstate natural gas pipeline and electric transmission operators to voluntarily share nonpublic, operational information.
