Sentence Stayed For Convicted Ex-Pa. High Court Justice

Law360, Philadelphia (November 18, 2013, 7:09 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania state judge said Friday that Joan Orie Melvin, an ex-state Supreme Court justice convicted for corruption, could not continue to serve her house arrest sentence after an appeals court agreed in October to stay a separate punishment forcing her to send apology letters to state judges.
