GCs Making More Dough In Complex Legal Environment: Report

Law360, New York (November 19, 2013, 10:24 PM EST) -- Complications on the legal landscape for corporate America in areas like government regulation, mergers and acquisition oversight, and tech litigation helped drive a healthy increase in general counsel compensation this year, according to a report to be published this week.

The median compensation for general counsel at Fortune 1000 companies rose 4.9 percent in 2013 over last year, from $1.52 million to $1.61 million, according to the report from Equilar Inc., an executive compensation data firm.
