DC Circ. Halts $750M Annual Nuclear Waste Fee Payments

Law360, New York (November 19, 2013, 3:04 PM EST) -- The D.C. Circuit ordered the U.S. Department of Energy on Tuesday to stop hitting nuclear power plant operators with waste fees totaling about $750 million each year, ruling that collection should be suspended entirely until it finds a viable storage alternative to the canceled Yucca Mountain facility.
