11th Circ. Revives Gallagher Bassett Negligence Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (November 19, 2013, 6:15 PM EST) -- The Eleventh Circuit reversed a Florida district court's decision granting summary judgment to Gallagher Bassett Services Inc. in a civil negligence action brought by a former employee, holding Tuesday that the lower court erred in granting the judgment as a matter of law.

Ex-employee Elizabeth Picon sued Gallagher Bassett last year, alleging it had acted negligently, which led to a “debilitating” pain in her right shoulder.
