UK Blocks Funding For Most Overseas Coal-Fired Plants

Law360, New York (November 20, 2013, 6:24 PM EST) -- The United Kingdom said Wednesday it will no longer provide public financing for coal-fired power plants beyond its borders unless they are located in impoverished countries with no alternatives, joining the United States in an effort to reduce the level of greenhouse emissions worldwide.
