Family Dollar Managers In Pa. Sue Over OT Wages

Law360, Philadelphia (November 22, 2013, 3:55 PM EST) -- Fourteen Pennsylvania residents who worked as store managers for Family Dollar Stores Inc. accused the retailer of denying them overtime wages in a lawsuit filed in state court on Thursday.

The individuals say that their jobs involved the same nonmanagerial responsibilities that hourly employees took on, but say that they often worked as much as 80 hours a week without receiving any overtime.

They accuse the retailer, which owns over 7,000 stores nationwide, of violating the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act.
