FERC's Wellinghoff Exits, LaFleur Tabbed As Acting Chair

Law360, New York (November 22, 2013, 7:18 PM EST) -- Chairman Jon Wellinghoff of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will officially step down on Sunday, and President Barack Obama will elevate Commissioner Cheryl LaFleur to the acting chair position, an agency spokesman confirmed Friday.

Wellinghoff, who’s set to join Stoel Rives LLP as a San Francisco-based partner, made the announcement at FERC’s open commission meeting on Thursday.
