Uzbekistan Gets $110M For 100-Megawatt Solar Power Plant

Law360, New York (November 22, 2013, 6:03 PM EST) -- The Asian Development Bank said Friday it will provide a $110 million loan toward building a 100-megawatt solar power plant in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, as the country looks to use more renewable energy.

Right now, nearly 90 percent of the country's power is generated in fossil-fuel-based plants, according to a Friday statement from the ADB.
