Judge Rejects Patent Case Against OnStar

Law360, New York (March 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A patent-holding company that alleged General Motors' OnStar vehicle navigation system infringed one of its patents has been rebuffed by a federal judge.

Judge Barbara Crabb of the Western District of Wisconsin denied Vehicle IP LLC's motion for summary judgment in the case and granted a summary judgment motion by General Motors declaring that its product does not infringe. She also dismissed counterclaims by General Motors challenging the validity of the patent.
