Diageo Offers Whisky Asset Sale To Ease Antitrust Fears

Law360, New York (November 25, 2013, 1:00 PM EST) -- Diageo PLC has offered to sell most of its Whyte & Mackay whisky assets to allay regulators' concerns about a sharp decline in competition in the U.K.'s blended whisky market resulting from the company's $2 billion acquisition of United Spirits Ltd., the U.K.'s Office of Fair Trading said Monday.
